SO you’re hurtling toward middle age but haven’t started saving for retirement.

The good news is, it’s not too late.

Since many big events now happen later in adulthood — buying a first home, marrying, having children — it is not too surprising that saving for retirement is put off. Even for people on the cusp of 40, retirement still feels like something abstract and far away. But at the same time, reality has set in: It is time to do something. But what?
